Study Smarter Not Harder Boredom and working memory are both issues for most people with ADHD. Research shows that multi-modal learning helps people learn and remember. So, rather than trying harder to force the information into your head, get creative. Plan Your Time: Assess and Prioritize It may sound strange, but its very important to actively plan time to plan. Impressions Gained of Pips Character from Great Expectations Pip is very much a child in the the first chapter. However, it is Pip narrating it as an adult ( retrospective narrator). You know he is a child by his childish thoughts and his rather odd imagination. He manages to come up with the childish conclusion that his father is a square, stout, dark man, with curly hair just by looking at his fathers tombstone. Also, that his mother was freckled and sickly. It is quite bizarre that Pip has managed to conjour up that idea from a tombstone. He does not want to see his son leave, because he is everything to him. Still, he knows that his son must leave to grow up and be independent. The son, treated like royalty by the father, is ready to move on to the next chapter in his life and be away from the protection of his father. The painting gives mix emotion because of the two different emotions of the main characters. Norman Rockwell shows the differences between the two-generation through the father and son. The experience of leaving you’re parents and being on your own is universal to everyone. The universal message in â€Å"Breaking Family Ties† is being independent for the first time. I was seventeen when I left home by myself to go to college. Preparing to leave home, I was like the boy in â€Å"Breaking Family Ties† eager to move on to the next chapter in my life and to be independent. The act of precepting can also be referred to as a buddy system where a newly staff nurse is partnered with an experienced nurse. The assignment is mainly done by the supervisor to ensure that the new joiners have sufficient and proper orientation programs (Eller et al. 2014).The preceptors are selected based upon a number of skills sets possessed by them. Thus, the nurses who have demonstrated effective and safe practices along with sufficient understanding of the policy and procedures justifying the broad spectrum role of a school nurse are chosen as the preceptors (Zhang et al. 2016). From the point of view of a personal reflection, I can state that the role of a preceptor is very crucial in meeting with learning needs and demands of the newly staff nurses. Thus, beings guided by a preceptor or a buddy helped me in understanding my tasks better. I think I had the go-to' person in case I faced any difficulty in the process of care service delivery as a nurse. However, being preceptored in an emergency clinical set up could be stressful inspite of having a buddy system. In my opinion, the preceptor concept could be made more widely accepted within the clinical setup. In order to do that the preceptor needs to gather the important cues from their protg on a weekly basis regarding the areas where they are facing difficulty. The various loopholes identified could be used to devise a standard solution or strategy. I also felt the passive and short-term nature of the relationship between the preceptor and the preceptored can be a limitation. In my personal experiences, I had rather felt stressed out inspite of having a preceptor. One of the problems that I have faced was getting a clear set of instructions from my preceptor which affected my quality of work. Seldom have I faced situations where my thought process had not been on the page with that of my preceptor. This resulted in differences of opinion affecting the quality of care services. Future response to challenging behaviour I had encountered a number of different experiences in an emergency clinical set up as a staff nurse. In this respect, coping up with the challenging behaviours depicted by some of the patients could be very difficult. With reference to my personal experience in an emergency clinical set up I had to deal with patients who would often depict violent behaviour owing to possessing little or no knowledge about their present health condition. In my role as a mentor, I would need to constantly motivate my co-workers and staffs. I can do that by providing constructive feedbacks to the enrolled nursing staff. See this Business Standard report which quotes RBI Governor Dr Subbarao as saying that Only central banks have the requisite market pulse and instruments to aid in making contextual judgements which an independent debt agency, driven by narrow objectives, will not be able to do. The Governor further said that in order to achieve monetary and financial stability, separation of debt management from central bank seems to be a sub-optimal choice. The case for shifting debt management function out of the central bank is made on several arguments such as resolving conflict of interest, reducing the cost of debt, facilitating debt consolidation and increasing transparency. These advantages are overstated, Dr Subbarao said. He said market borrowings are the major source of deficit financing at state level and such borrowings are exceeding the absorptive capacity of the market. That makes it imperative to harmonise the market borrowing programmes of the Centre and the states. Separation of the Centres debt management from the central bank will make such harmonisation difficult, Dr Subbarao added. He said even internationally, there is closer association between the central bank with sovereign debt management for proper monetary policy and financial stability. When fiscal deficit is as high as it is in India, it is not only about debt management in the conventional sense. It has larger implications for liquidity management and monetary policy transmission. The balance of advantage would lie in the RBI continuing to manage public debt until fiscal deficit comes down to very comfortable levels.† RBI’s internal research  supports the above view by demonstrating that interest rates have not been affected by the government’s borrowing programme (a point made by some of you in class). You will be amused to know that Dr Subbarao himself was an advocate of an independent DMO when he used to work for the government! The confusion over this issue was evidenced by the Rakesh Mohan Committee on India’s Financial Sector Assessment which opined in favour of an independent DMO with the chairman (an ex-deputy governor of the RBI) disagreeing with the committee’s view!
